ABOUT ME
Hi I'm Jovita, a Year 2 student currently studying Communication Design at Temasek Polytechnic. In school, I learn graphic design, branding and advertising, as well as typography, 3D modelling and after effects.
Outside of school, I play the violin and screen write. I'm also often seen playing mobile games and watching movies and/or TV shows. I used to be part of Teatro in Temasek Polytechnic with drama and theatre knowledge since Primary School. I left Teatro after the 1st semester in Year 2 to focus on violin and music.
Since young, I enjoyed listening to Pop, musicals and Mandopop songs. In November 2022, I started listening to Kpop and Kdrama OSTs songs (constantly for more than a year). In November 2023, I became more aware of Classical music from my violin idols and the Classical songs I'm 'forced' to learn since I started learning violin. (I guess November is the month of new music)
After my Studio project 1 module, I'm constantly compared to a giraffe -- I have a keychain soft toy of a giraffe that I'm constantly seen bringing around with my water bottle and used it for this module as well as having it my gmail account.
About
Guided Learning project
My interests and passion for violin has not stop since 7 years old. After taking ABRSM grades 1-8, I started exploring choices and options I can take as an intermediate violinist. As someone we stage fright and low confidence in my violin abilities, I decided to take on Guided Learning as a way to build confidence to perform music. Using social media platform and a website to publicise myself, this is just a starting point in my perhaps future violinist career.
Title of project : Building the confidence to perform music from different cultures and genres through the violin (Performing violin with confidence)
Description of project: Playing songs from different genres and cultures on the violin and publishing them online via a website and YouTube for others to listen to.
